Salty Jaw Charters has been grinding hard this winter and getting into some decent fish of late. We Wrapped up last week with some nice pompano and redfish that we caught around Boca Grande and Little Gasperilla Island.
Today I poled around a good client and Friend Kurt Moore in my little skiff. We manage to catch a few redfish and trout sight casting but the snook were very skittish. Tarpon season is fast approaching so secure your date today!

Salty Jaw Charters had a great run of trips this week and with warm temperatures in the high 70s fishing was very productive. We caught good numbers of snappers out in the Gulf of Mexico and had great luck with trout and redfish back in the mangrove islands. Salty Jaw Charters has been grinding away in some tough conditions of late, it’s been a unusually wet winter to say the least. We’ve been catch lane and mangrove snapper along with sheepshead in good numbers out in the Gulf of Mexico. The Backwater fishing around Boca Grande has been producing lots of trout,snook and redfish with a Few pompano mixed in from time to time.
Before we know it spring will be upon us and the Tarpon will be showing up so book your trip today! Fall Fishing at its finest!!! We’ve been catching redfish, snook and trout in the backcountry and hitting the snapper and mackerel in the Gulf of Mexico.

Fall fishing is by far my favorite time a year in the backcountry around Charlotte Harbor and Boca Grande. Salty Jaw Charters has been wrecking the Snook,Redfish and spotted Sea Trout on everything from live minnows to artificial lures. The Gulf of Mexico has had some great action of its own with Spanish mackerel, bonito and spinner sharks on the prow. So jump on a plane and give Salty Jaw Charters a call for a trip to remember Lots of great trips in the book this last week. The weather has been spectacular and the fish have been chewing hard. Lots of tarpon and snook with some trout and a few snappers in the mix. As summer trickles along more mangrove snapper will move in to the bay and near by passes making some great table fair.
Salty Jaw Charters has been grinding hard with Redtide coming and going in and out of the area. But with 30 square miles and over a 100 mangrove island to hide from it we’ve been catching some great fish.
Lots of big trout, snook and redfish have been chew lately on live minnows and shrimp. With Tarpon season right around the corner make sure you get yourself a couple dates to tug on mighty silver king. What a a gorgeous start to this week with weather in the 80s. This last weekend we had a cold front come through and the fishing was tough for a few days. But the fish were back jumping on the line today, couldn’t hardly keep the trout and ladyfish from jumping on the line.
We’re Catching lots of sheepshead and snapper in the Gulf of Mexico and that should continue steady for the next two months. Before long the mighty silver kings will be showing up to our shores so get your tarpon dates booked before they are all gone! Salty Jaw Charters has been plugging along and catching some nice fish around the Boca Grande area. Lots of nice trout are jump ing on the line with a few redfish and snook as well. Out in the Gulf of Mexico we’ve been catching a few triple tail along with lots of sheepshead and snapper.
Tarpon season is booking up fast for May and June so gets some days on the calendar to chase the mighty diver king. The fishing has been on fire big schools of redfish have paraded into charlotte harbor making for some rod bending insanity. The mangrove snapper,snook and trout fishing are fallowing suit with lots of action on the right tides.
