The amberjack bite was intense today, we caught them on topwaters and live bait. Even thought the are out of season we still had a blast turning our arms into rubber, with multiple double headers and quit once we hit 20 fish. The inshore bit has been steady with mostly trout and snook jumping on the lines.

This February has been abnormally hot with lots of days in the mid-80s,it has pushed our water temperature up to 78° and has the fish going crazy. This snook was caught on a lot of pilchard by Louise Hargarty along with many others .
Capt. Jesse Beye Boca Grande Inshore Fishing Charters With close to record breaking Temperatures for the month of February the bite is been pretty spectacular. The backcountry fishing has stayed pretty consistent With lots of trout and a few redfish and snook mixed in. When the winds aren’t heavy the fishing in the gulf have produced sheepshead mangrove and Lane snapper. Here is a nice amberjack that was caught on a big popper plug.
Capt. Jesse Beye Boca Grande Inshore Fishing Charters The redfish and trout bite has been very solid the last couple of days, we’ve been catching them on soft plastics artificials and live shrimp. As we move closer to March and warmer weather we will start to see schools of bait showing up along our many grass flats, which will in turn send the fishing to another level.
