Scott Rainville from Vermont landed this nice snook on a artificial lure in Boca Grande Florida. The Fish were pretty active this morning we landed a couple nice redfish, along with this 31inch snook and a dozen trout with some jack crevalles mixed in. There’s still a good amount of tarpon around and as we roll further into fall we should see the water start to clear up. Some species we will see coming up are Kingfish, Spanish mackerel, bonitos in the Gulf of Mexico.

Snook keep leading the charge in the backcountry around Boca Grande,Chasing pinfish, shrimp, live minnows and many different artificials. There are some tarpon still around to chase when the wind is light and the nearshore fishing has been getting better every week. As we press on into fall and temperatures drop we should see lots of king and Spanish mackerel show up in the Gulf of Mexico.
