Spring snook fishing is in full swing, we managed to get pics of this beauty and unfortunately lost one just as big. Lots of mackerel to chase in the the gulf just off of Boca Grande when the wind is light. Tarpon fishing is getting close and there’s a few spots still available on the calendar for 2019.......

Fishing has been red hot with lots of snook and sea trout chasing live bait and artificial alike crazy. The Gulf of Mexico has explode with tons of mackerel, spinner sharks and bonitos, chasing big schools of minnows as far as the eye can see some days. Tarpon are starting to trickle in and as the temperature keeps rising soon the main herd will be upon us.
Capt. Jesse Beye Boca Grande Fishing Charters Jim Tanner and his son James set the bay on fire today we lost count of fish by 1100am, it was non stop action. The snook and reds were very plentiful with some trout mixed in, we did a mixture of fly fishing and live bait the fish were easy to fool with both. We’re starting to see tarpon already show up it’s looking to be a great season this year in Charlotte Harbour.
Capt. Jesse Beye Boca Grande Fishing Charters Had a great day on the water with Louise Hagarty and Suzanne catching all kinds of fish. We caught a little of everything snook, trout, ladyfish, jacks and few pompano. Spring is in full swing and fishing should keep trending better and better as the water temp continues to soar.
