Over the weekend I brought the family out to help scout for up coming trips this week and boy did we have fun. My daughter caught her first snook and my wife was catching snook so fast I couldn’t get a line in myself. The snook and trout fishing has been leading the charge in among the many mangrove island in Charlotte Harbour. The Gulf of Mexico is completely loaded up with bait and the mackerel are starting to show up off are beaches. As good as the fishing has been lately it should only intensify as we press further into fall.

FALL is here!!! And with it comes some great fishing. The temperatures are starting to drop a little and lots of bait has pushed into the Harbour making fishing unbelievable. Catching a bunch of snook a few big permit and lots of snapper on most trips. Spanish and king mackerel, bonito and triple tail should be showing up in the gulf of Mexico before long as we press further into fall.
Capt. Jesse Beye Boca Grande Fishing Charters The redfish bite has been great lately, catching them with livebaits along with artificial lures. Topwaters have been working well early in the morning and then switching to plastic jerk baits and paddle tails once the sun comes out. The fishery is very much alive and well, with plenty of fun species coming up to catch after a few cold fronts. Grouper will start to move shallow once the water temp drops along with good runs of kingfish,Spanish mackerel and bonito’s.
