Another incredible day on the water with longtime client and friend Russ Bayner, targeting triple tail along the pristine beaches of Boca Grande and Manasota Key. While the sight casting opportunities were selective, our persistence paid off with several quality catches that made the day memorable.

One of the highlights was exploring the newly formed pass that Hurricane Milton carved through the southern tip of Manasota Key – a dramatic reminder of nature's raw power reshaping our coastline. The fishing has been on fire big schools of redfish have paraded into charlotte harbor making for some rod bending insanity. The mangrove snapper,snook and trout fishing are fallowing suit with lots of action on the right tides.

Lots of great tarpon action this week !! Finally the wind has stopped blowing giving us great tarpon and snook fishing. The Tarpon around Boca Grande have been eating the blue crabs,pinfish and threadfin extremely well. Fishing has been awesome of late, catching everything from big trout and snook in the backcountry to kingfish and sharks in the Gulf of Mexico. The water temperature has finally climbed up to 80 degrees which has the fish fired up ready to go first thing in the morning. The tarpon have started to trickle in decently around Boca Grande, Manasota Key and up into Charlotte Harbor.
