Fishing in southwest Florida has been awesome this July. With summer break in full swing Salty Jaw Charters has been cranking right along catching lots of snook and mangrove snapper daily. Still plenty of tarpon and sharks around if your wanting a big tug this summer. Next month we should start to see our big schools of redfish invade the area and stick around for a couple months.
Salty Jaw Charters has been staying busy catching the mighty silver king with Lots of tarpon still cruising around the beaches of Boca Grande. More and more snapper are coming in the bay and the trout and snook fish still remains strong.
The weather has been perfect of late and Salty Jaw Charters has been getting on some nice fish. The big snook and trout bite has been great and we’re starting to see some nice mangrove snapper push into the bay as well. Lots of Tarpon are still in the area and will be all summer into the Fall.
Lots of great trips in the book this last week. The weather has been spectacular and the fish have been chewing hard. Lots of tarpon and snook with some trout and a few snappers in the mix. As summer trickles along more mangrove snapper will move in to the bay and near by passes making some great table fair.
We’ll we’ve been in a stretch of high winds this week so the tarpon fishing has been on hold. But the snook fishing is on point with good numbers on trips with a few good sized ones mixed in. We’re starting to see some nice mangrove snapper move into the bay along with schools of Spanish Mackerel. Fishing has been rock solid!! Lots of trout and snook in the backcountry around Boca Grande and Little Gasperilla Island. The Tarpon fishing has really heated up this last week with more and more fish pushing in daily. Still have some dates available over the next couple months some come get in on the action!
Spring has sprung in southwest Florida in the Boca Grande area. Redtide has rescinded out of the area that has her send for now and the fishing has been nothing less from exceptional.

Fishing has been on fire as of late with big snook coming out to play along with nice redfish and big sea trout. With warmer water temperatures big schools of minnows have invade the bay and have the fish fired up.
With Tarpon season right around the corner it’s not to late to get a couple days to chase the mighty silver king. The main Tarpon run starts around the middle of April and usually ends in October, with May and June being the best.
The fishing has been red hot this month with the water temps pushing into the mid 70s. The snook and trout have been very active chasing schools of bait eating live minnows and chasing our topwater plugs. Before long we will get our big tarpon migration so get the last few slot that are open in May and June!!
Salty Jaw Charters has been grinding hard with Redtide coming and going in and out of the area. But with 30 square miles and over a 100 mangrove island to hide from it we’ve been catching some great fish.
Lots of big trout, snook and redfish have been chew lately on live minnows and shrimp. With Tarpon season right around the corner make sure you get yourself a couple dates to tug on mighty silver king.
