The fishing and weather this August has been phenomenal for the most part. The snapper, trout and snook have been on the fore front as far as numbers go. The Tarpon are still around and get very active this time of year up in Charlotte Harbor. When the tarpon find the big schools of ladyfish it can be magical. The Tarpon will feed on these ladyfish creating massive explosions and sometimes fly high into the air.
We’re also starting to see some big schools of redfish coming into the area to feed and spawn. In a couple month with temperatures changes,we’ll start to see king mackerel and cobia start to show up in the Gulf of Mexico.
