Had a great day throwing topwater plugs with long time friend/client Russ Bayner. We’ve been fishing together for 20years and no one has as much fun as this guy when fish are blasting his lure.
Fall fishing is by far my favorite time a year in the backcountry around Charlotte Harbor and Boca Grande. Salty Jaw Charters has been wrecking the Snook,Redfish and spotted Sea Trout on everything from live minnows to artificial lures.
The Gulf of Mexico has had some great action of its own with Spanish mackerel, bonito and spinner sharks on the prow.
So jump on a plane and give Salty Jaw Charters a call for a trip to remember
Lots of great trips in the book this last week. The weather has been spectacular and the fish have been chewing hard. Lots of tarpon and snook with some trout and a few snappers in the mix. As summer trickles along more mangrove snapper will move in to the bay and near by passes making some great table fair.
Salty Jaw Charters has been grinding hard with Redtide coming and going in and out of the area. But with 30 square miles and over a 100 mangrove island to hide from it we’ve been catching some great fish.
Lots of big trout, snook and redfish have been chew lately on live minnows and shrimp. With Tarpon season right around the corner make sure you get yourself a couple dates to tug on mighty silver king.
What a a gorgeous start to this week with weather in the 80s. This last weekend we had a cold front come through and the fishing was tough for a few days. But the fish were back jumping on the line today, couldn’t hardly keep the trout and ladyfish from jumping on the line.
We’re Catching lots of sheepshead and snapper in the Gulf of Mexico and that should continue steady for the next two months.
Before long the mighty silver kings will be showing up to our shores so get your tarpon dates booked before they are all gone!
