The weather was absolutely gorgeous in southwest Florida this past week. The snook are starting to stack up amongst the mangrove islands around Boca Grande,Along with lots of redfish and trout. The trips in the Gulf had groupers, mangrove and lane snappers jumping on the lines in a big way.
The water temperature is getting warmer and warmer which will bring along Tarpon season before long so book your trip today. Scott Hocking and his dog Skipper have been coming out once a week over the winter to chase these beautiful Redfish Charlotte Harbor has to offer. We’ve been throwing mostly artificial lures and catch lots of trout with some Reds and snook mixed in from time to time.
As we creep into spring our water temperature will start to rise, more schools of bait will show up along with more predator species. The weather has been spectacular and the fish have been chewing hard. Lots of tarpon and snook with some trout and a few snappers in the mix. As summer trickles along more mangrove snapper will move in to the bay and near by passes making some great table fair.
We’ll we’ve been in a stretch of high winds this week so the tarpon fishing has been on hold. But the snook fishing is on point with good numbers on trips with a few good sized ones mixed in. We’re starting to see some nice mangrove snapper move into the bay along with schools of Spanish Mackerel. Fishing has been rock solid!! Lots of trout and snook in the backcountry around Boca Grande and Little Gasperilla Island. The Tarpon fishing has really heated up this last week with more and more fish pushing in daily. Still have some dates available over the next couple months some come get in on the action!
Lots of great tarpon action this week !! Finally the wind has stopped blowing giving us great tarpon and snook fishing. The Tarpon around Boca Grande have been eating the blue crabs,pinfish and threadfin extremely well. Capt. Jesse Beye Boca Grande Fishing Charters Fishing has been awesome of late, catching everything from big trout and snook in the backcountry to kingfish and sharks in the Gulf of Mexico. The water temperature has finally climbed up to 80 degrees which has the fish fired up ready to go first thing in the morning. The tarpon have started to trickle in decently around Boca Grande, Manasota Key and up into Charlotte Harbor.
